The pictures tell the story: The fish grow big out here, and there are lots of them. Of course, if, how much and what you will catch depends on a lot of factors. Nevertheless, we know these waters better than anybody, and we can help you bring home the most possible.

You needn’t go any further than Apalachicola Bay itself for surprisingly good fishing in protected waters. However, if you want to bring home the really big ones, nothing beats going off shore, out into the Gulf of Mexico.

What can you catch? Common species include: Redfish, Cobia, Pompano, Sheepshead, Flounder, Speckled Trout, Whiting, Spanish Mackerel, Black Drum, Bluefish, Striped Bass, Large Mouth Bass, Jack Crevalle, Tarpon, Grouper, Snapper, King Mackerel, Triple Tail and Amberjack.

Prices for fishing charters are as follows:

Prices include bait, rigs, tackle, licensees and ice.

What to Bring

• Any food and drink you will want on board. A cooler is provided and, yes, alcohol is allowed.
• A cooler in which to take your catch home. (You won’t need to bring his with you on board.)
• Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and a towel.
• A long-sleeve shirt or jacket for cooler weather or too much sun.

Don’t forget to bring a camera so that you can prove who got the biggest fish.
